In december 2008 we started a joint adventure. With my partner Nándor Mentes, who is the CEO of the Ceglédi Autóház LLC, we recognized this adventure will not be easy and both hoped for a happy ending.
The restoration of an oldtimer is always a huge chunk of work and responsibility and only suitable to those, whos ambitions are driven by real car-love. We where looking for an old car. A special car. A car from a manufacturer, that stands for extraordinary quality and elegance. We found Rolls Royce and the Silver Shadow I. The model we finally decided to restore we found after excessive search, because a technically good condition was a prerequisite to our choice.
I myself already acquired some experience in the field of car-restoration, as I started to restore a Jaguar XJ12 from 1974 in 2004. With my accumulated experience from then and until today, my partner and I were doing all work on the car ourselves, except for work where specialists were indispensable, such as bodywork and paintjob.
For this car, to be as shiny and nice as it is today, our strong single-mindedness was necessary. Both of us, who were not avaricious neither with money, nor with time when it came to 9 months and hundreds of hours of work, to present you proudly this already 33 year old beauty.
I hope our venture reaches its goal, to have a timelessly beautiful car perfectized again, so it can bring joy to many people at whatever occasion.
